The Deben Estuary is beautiful, its banks
relatively unspoilt by development. Waldringfield is the only
riverside settlement of any size between Felixstowe Ferry and
Woodbridge. It is small, well-confined and reasonably unobtrusive
when viewed from the river.
Food & Drink
The Maybush
The Maybush Inn was originally a farmhouse and
dates from around the 15th century. The property was probably
licensed around 1745. It is one of the members of the Deben Inns
chain and part of the Adnams Brewery.
A "Pay and Display" Car park has recently been introduced and the
details are as follows:
The patrons area will be free for up to three hours. The visitors
area will have a £1 charge for up to three hours or £5 per day (24
hours). (A £1 refund can be obtained against the parking ticket as
a reduction from any purchase made within the pub.)
Golf Club
This attractive 18 hole course was created in 1983. Each year, new
features have been introduced, such as water hazards and shaping
and moulding of the playing areas, making it more attractive as
time goes by.
It is also available for functions and has a restaurant.
