The LSP's
priorities
Following consultations with our residents and research
undertaken by our various members, the Waveney Local Strategic
Partnership has identified the following key issues as our
priorities to help us direct the work of the Partnership into areas
where we believe we can uniquely make a difference.
- Children and young
people – enable all children and young people in
Waveney to aspire to and achieve their full potential, giving them
the basis for a successful life as active members of their
community.
- Safer Stronger and Sustainable
Communities - to make Waveney an area where people
regardless of age, disability, belief, race, ethnicity, sexual
orientation and gender feel safe, can contribute to the community
and want to live. To minimise the short and long term impact
residents and businesses have on their environment.
- Adults and Healthier
Communities – for people in Waveney to enjoy good
health and well-being, to enjoy the quality of life that Waveney's
diverse district has to offer and be happy.
- Economic Development and
Enterprise - a place that is full of vitality where
businesses and entrepreneurs want to be located. A place
which has a strong sub regional partnership with Great
Yarmouth. To support economic growth and investment through
joint working, and where the rural economy is thriving. To be
one of Europe's leading centres of expertise in renewable
energy.
