Welcome to our West Suffolk Agility Club Website.
At West Suffolk Agility Club we teach responsible dog ownership and train our dogs with patience, kindness and reward. Throughout training classes dogs are continually rewarded with small food treats and lots of verbal praise and encouragement.
Although we are one club, we meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and run them as two separate groups. Wednesday’s class is known as the Fun & Social Agility and Thursday as the Improvers & Competition Level Agility. During both evenings experienced Instructors teach beginners on a one-to-one basis within the classes. We do not run set Beginners Courses as all dogs learn at different rates; the class Instructor will decide when each beginner is ready to learn each new piece of equipment.
This website is all about the Fun & Social Agility Wednesday Club Night – details about Thursday Club Night can be found on their own website at http://www.westsuffolkagilityclubthursday.webs.com/
The Wednesday Club meets weekly at Peartree Farm, Hartest, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Club opens at 7pm where members set up the evening’s agility courses and class begins about 7.20pm. Class finishes approximately 9.15pm to allow time to clear away the equipment before the club closes at 9.30pm. All members are expected to help set up and/or put away agility equipment.
Throughout the evening beginners through to experienced handlers work their dogs in a non-competitive atmosphere learning from experienced Instructors, the correct and safe way to train their dog in agility while having a fun and enjoyable evening.
Agility is suitable for almost all breeds of adult dogs and is a great way to keep both you and your dog fit while helping to build a great bond between you both.
