Wickham Market Photographic Club has
approximately 30 members and meets at the Village Hall in Wickham
Market on the first Friday of each month.
We are all photographic enthusiasts who like to listen and learn
more about photography and how we can improve our photographs. The
programme we have is designed to give members variety each month in
the topics covered and the medium used. For example, we have club
competitions giving members the opportunity to submit their work to
be assessed by a recognized judge. This can be in colour or
monochrome, processed traditionally or digitally, and there is a
category for slides. We also have annual competitions run in a
similar way. Trophies are given each year to successful authors. We
also participate in competitions against other local photographic
clubs.
We have a number of visiting speakers giving us lectures with their
slides or prints on a number of topics to give variety to our
evenings. Look at our programme for more information.
We belong to the East Anglian Federation of the Photographic
Alliance of Great Britain, and submit work into their annual
competitions.
We are a mixed club with a varied age range, and all abilities and
levels of photography experience. We also like to help each other
with questions and problems. This gives us a number of different
resources in which to tap into to improve the way we take our
pictures.
Annual subscriptions are currently £18.00 with a small contribution
for tea or coffee and a biscuit.
So if you are interested, look at the other information on this
site, our programme, a map of where we are, members work and the
contact page. We look forward to seeing you at the
club. | |
