Worlingham Village fete
Can you remember the fetes held at Worlingham? This year you will get a chance to relive the fetes so fondly talked about; Worlingham is holding a village fete for the fourth time. It is to be held on the Middle School Field on Saturday 16th June 2012 in the afternoon. There are already plans for a full afternoon’s events including: dancing, pony and dunking in the stocks; as well as various stalls such as a bookstall, white elephant and tombolas. There will be a Grand Raffle, varied refreshments including a beer tent and strawberries and cream and, of course, ice-cream for the children along with face-painting and games. And much, much more.
There is already a keen committee planning the fete and a team of volunteers who have offered to help on the day, but we need more! If you are interested in helping run a stall on the day or belong to a Worlingham charity or group and wish to run a stall or even help clear up afterwards, please contact Dave at worlinghamfete@live.co.uk or the Parish Clerk on 01502 717102 by Friday 13th May.
Let’s make the fete's a regular feature of life in Worlingham for future generations to enjoy !
Please see below the Fete committee mission statement
Fete mission statement
We have organised a village fete with a view to bringing our community together and for the residents of Worlingham to organise, run and enjoy. This will become an annual event which the people of Worlingham can be proud of, and look forward to, whether just to attend or by being involved, giving what ever time they can spare. We hope Worlingham Village Fete will inspire residents to join in with their community and take pride in our village. It will give them the opportunity to participate, knowing they are making a difference and enjoy bringing something to their community.
Funds raised will go towards future fete's in Worlingham for all members of the community.
