What is in it for me?

Becoming a trading volunteer can be an extremely rewarding and satisfying experience. Whether your motivation is to learn a new skill, try something different or share your current skills, the possibilities are endless. Volunteers for Age Concern get the opportunity to participate fully in the community, make new friends, learn new skills and help older people.

What will my role involve?

Working as part of a team beside the Customer Services Assistant, the duties are:-

  1. Answering the telephone and taking messages
  2. Greeting visitors
  3. Basic administration tasks
  4. Computer skills are useful but not essential
  5. Working within our Trading with Integrity Policy

How much time will I need to give?

Either a morning (9.30am to 12.30pm) or an afternoon (2.00pm to 4.30pm) but times are flexible to suit you.


Will I receive any training and support?

Full training will be given.


Will I be out of pocket?

No, reasonable travel expenses are paid.
