Feast East 2010 is the Eastern Region’s regional food and drink festival and next year takes place from 4 – 6 March 2010. It is held at Chilford Hall, near Linton in south-east Cambridgeshire, close to the borders with Essex and Suffolk.

Now in its 16th year having first been held in 1994, Feast East 2010 will celebrate all that is best in the local food and drink world in our six counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambs., Herts. and Beds. With over 5,000 visitors expected, it promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Full of foodie fun and frolics, there are many different attractions at Feast East for our public and trade visitors:

Friday 5 March and Saturday 6 March 2010

  • A huge array of exciting stands from the region’s best food and drink producers – we are expecting over 100 to be represented – full of tempting delicacies, giving lots of opportunities to taste your way around the Festival and buy goodies to take away

  • A culinary showcase in the Feast East Cookery Theatre with hourly cookery demonstrations from the some of the East’s best chefs preparing their favourite signature dishes in front of the audience. Ready steady cook…

  • Also on stage with our invited chefs will be food producers talking about their artisan ingredients being transformed into wonderful dishes before your very eyes.

  • A special area dedicated to children’s cookery encouraging youngsters and families to not just get cooking but to also grow their own produce. Sticky fingers in the kitchen, green fingers in the garden…

  • Tasty Ideas – the Festival’s innovation zone – where we launch our producers’ new product ranges to the public for the very first time. Come and indulge in the novelty…

Thursday 4 March 2010 (trade day by invitation only)

  • A special trade-only afternoon and evening session by invitation only for industry representatives from commercial sectors such as catering trade, food retail, farming and associated services and from the business media, stakeholder organisations and other affiliated companies or bodies.

  • The Festival will be officially opened at 3pm by Peter Kendall, the National President of the NFU, who we are delighted to be welcoming to launch our festivities.

  • The opening will be preceded by a VIP Lunch for dignitaries and the media to celebrate the first day of the Festival.
