The school selected Humanities as their area of specialism which
will include English, a key area for all our students, and will be
combined with the 'Humanities' subjects of Geography, History, R.E.
and Citizenship.
The 'Aim' was to achieve Specialist Status for Chantry High
School and Sixth Form Centre.
The school would like to thank everyone who sent dontaions which
enabled the school to reach it's 'target' of £50,000 by September
2005.
The 'icing on the cake': It was in February
2006 that the School was awarded 'Special Status' - the picture
below was displayed in the East Anglian Daily Times on 10 February
2006 together with a report from the Head Teacher.
(The East
Anglian is the local newspaper that covers the news
for your community)

The Headteacher, pupils,
and staff would also like to thank everyone who has visited
this website and sent donations.
All your visits have enabled the school's 'OneSuffolk' website
(this website) to receive the prestigious award for the
'Young Peoples Website for 2006'. The award is displayed at the
school.

NOTE: Though the contents of the original site have now been
removed the website will remain on 'Onesuffolk' to enable users of
the excellent 'Onsuffolk' web 'portal' to gain easy access to the
schools own website. Mr K. R. Phillips -
