Local authorities across the East of England are working
together to provide an opportunity for every Parish and Town
Council in the region to have a website.
Project Involve also draws on the involvement, expertise and
commitment of the County Associations of Local Councils, and is
being led by the East of England Regional Assembly.
The intention is to provide Parish and Town Councils with a
simple, cheap, easy-to-use template that requires minimal previous
computer knowledge. Information, photographs, documents, surveys
and forums can be put onto the website with a couple of clicks of a
mouse, readily accessible for residents. In Suffolk and Essex
councils have already starting producing
websites through
onesuffolk and
essexinfo.net.
It won’t replace newsletters, meetings, or an informal chat in
the street, but it will allow Parish and Town Councils to reach
more people, and often different people, more of the time, more
economically.
Training sessions to help you build a free website are now
being arranged in Norfolk. If you want to go on one please click on
the "Get Involved" button on the left of your screen to register
