Credit Union Scam
Credit union Scam

We have been informed that Wiltshire Police are warning of a number of calls reported to them from a person claiming to be from the 'credit union' and informing callers that they have won a lot of money in a free draw. To claim the money the person is asked to provide their bank details. Thankfully none of the individuals who reported the call fell for the scam.

This caller could be from anywhere calling anywhere so we just like to remind our customers that we never ask for your bank details over the phone. (In the unlikely event that we need to see them we would ask you to bring them into the main ISCU office in Austin St)

So never give out your bank details to anyone claiming to be from a credit union. (You should also be very very cautious about giving your bank details to anyone from any company especially the security code on the back of the card as with this code crooks can freely withdraw all of your money)

If anyone rings you with this scam, please ring us on 01473 690690 and the local police straight away!
