New state-of-the-art equipment is giving
patients a smoother journey on their way to operating theatres at
Ipswich Hospital.
Three candidates are set to fight the
vacant Felixstowe South East seats on Suffolk Coastal and
Felixstowe Town Council on the same day as voters across the
district will be voting for their representatives at the European
Parliament and the County Council.
Summer is fast approaching, and people
will be mowing their lawns and weeding their flowerbeds in
preparation for the warmer weather, so Suffolk Coastal is
encouraging people to compost their garden waste by offering home
compost bins to residents at reduced prices.
Owners of historic buildings are being
encouraged to get free advice on how to keep warm and cut their
fuel bills at Suffolk Coastal?s Period Properties talk, which this
year is focussing on energy conservation.
An appeal is underway to restore
Felixstowe South?s Blue Flag status after a technical problem with
a sample taken for testing last summer thwarted its attempts to fly
it for the eighth year in a row, even though its bathing water is

WDC confirms that the naturist beach at
Corton will be de-designated with effect from November 1
2009.
The hospital has two new intra-operative
cell salvage machines to collect and clean blood lost during
operations and return it safely back to the patient. The hospital
now has three of the machines, which can be used during a variety
of operations, including procedures in maternity and gynaecology,
orthopaedics, and vascular surgery.
Improved recycling service bins have
been rolled out to 6,000 more homes in Suffolk Coastal and
