Introduction
Here at Oxfam Internet in Felixstowe we have a friendly team of people working to raise money for this important charity that helps people in need, world wide, in many different ways, raising money by selling items through the internet. We need more volunteers to join us. What we do
The shop sells a wide range of second hand clothing, books, music and bricabrac. These items have come from other Oxfam shops in this region. Either the items have not sold in a shop, or it is thought that a better price might be obtained through selling online in the wider cyber marketplace.

The Volunteer Workforce

The unit is staffed by volunteers who mostly work from 4 to 10 hours a week, keeping the unit staffed most weekday mornings and afternoons.

However we  still need more volunteers to work in the unit. The work is interesting and varied. You never know what you may find - moreover how you describe it will help it sell!

The Jobs
So the jobs include sorting and selecting items to sell, photography, making entries on the web sites and storing the items so we know where to find them. The sites we use are currently eBay, Amazon and Oxfam Online Shop.

We check to see what has sold and arrange dispatch.

We aim to provide first class service to our customers, and to increase the amount we sell.
The work is interesting, and you never know what amazing item you may need to photograph, describe, or dispatch next!

The Work Experience

If you like computers or have never used one before, with this and the other jobs, you can gain experience which may be of use to you in the future.
