Opportunity to raise awareness of adult safeguarding with people with learning disabilities

The Say NO to abuse pack has been designed for use primarily for people with learning disabilities. The pack includes an animated DVD, guidance notes, workbook, template letter for families/carers, template self-referral form and template attendance certificate.

The DVD has been made to be used in a learning environment with small numbers of people. The showing of the DVD should be facilitated by a support worker or practitioner who feels confident to do so and has a good knowledge of adult safeguarding.

The DVD has interactive elements that allow the person showing the DVD to stop and discuss issues with the participants and promote people’s learning.

The Say NO to abuse DVD has not been designed for individuals to view by themselves in isolation.

The fun and interactive way to learn about Adult Safeguarding!

Suffolk’s Adult Safeguarding Team have produced a new way to learn about adult safeguarding that can be played by customers, staff and carers alike.

The Say NO! to Abuse Snakes and Ladders game provides you with a board, guidance notes and dice to support people to increase their awareness of what factors contribute to people’s vulnerability and how we can support people to help keep them safe.
