Kesgrave and District Team Homepage

Welcome to the Kesgrave and District Team Safer Neighbourhood Team website. In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials and Police Support Volunteers.

We work alongside staff from other organisations, including district and borough councils to provide an even better service to local people across the county.

Our team has a remit to solve problems identified by local people from your area – which could range from crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter. Remember, we are here to help you, so please get in touch with us if you need our assistance.

Kesgrave and District covers the wards of Kesgrave East and West, Witnesham, Grundisburgh,  Martlesham and  Rushmere St Andrew.

The next Community Priority Setting meeting

We hold regular tasking meetings, which are attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as well as our partners from health and educational organisations.

The aim is to:

  • Discuss issues put forward by the local community
  • Discuss the top three priorities chosen by members of the public and decide how these should be addressed and how we are going to tackle them.
  • Respond to these issues with innovative ideas to solve the problems

The next one for your area is on Wednesday 13th October 2010, at the Kesgrave Town Council Office, Ferguson Way, Kesgrave, IP5 2FZ. Unfortunately these meetings are not open to members of the public.

However, we are now holding Public Community Engagement meetings.  The next one is on Wednesday 11th August 2010 at the Village Hall, Westerfield Lane, Tuddenham IP6 9BH.  It starts starts at 18:30hrs and finishes at 19:15hrs. The following meeting is on Tuesday 7th September 2010 at Great Bealings, Village Hall, The Street, Little Bealings IP13 6LJ. It starts at 18:45hrs and finishes at 19:30hrs.

The aim is to:

  • Discuss issues put forward by the local community
  • Select the top three priorities to be addressed and how we are going to tackle them
  • Arrange feedback to local people about progress
