Saxmundham and Framlingham Team Homepage

Welcome to the Saxmundham and Framlingham Safer Neighbourhood Team website.

In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials and Police Support Volunteers.

We work alongside staff from other organisations, including district and borough councils to provide an even better service to local people across the county.

Our Team has a remit to solve problems indentified by local people from your area - which could range from crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter.

Remember, we are here to help you, so please get in touch with us if you need our assistance.  Our team covers the wards of Snape, Yoxford, Walberswick, Saxmundham, Hacheston, Peasenhall, Earl Soham and Framlingham.

Our Team Priorities

(what you told us we need to concentrate our efforts on)

1.   Better engagement with youth through improved youth provision. (IP13, IP16, IP17 and IP19).  This priority was set on 13th January 2010 - read more details

2.    Promote Road Safety  (IP13 8AE) (IP13 7QB) (IP17 1HE) (IP17 2HJ) - particularly on our rural roads by targeting speeding motorists, promoting awareness raising campaigns, working closely with schools and young peoples groups to encourage better road sense especially during hours of darkness.  This priority was set on 4th November 2009 - read more details

3. Tobys Walks Picnic Site (IP19 9NG ) – Tackle problems in relation to the emerging public sex environment at this location.  This priority was set on 4th November 2009 - read more details

The next neighbourhood policing meeting

We hold regular tasking meetings, which are attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as well as our partners from health and educational organisations.

The aim is to:

  • Discuss issues put forward by the local community.
  • Select the top three priorities to be addressed and how we are going to tackle them.
  • Arrange feedback to local people about progress.

These meetings are open to the public, so if you would like to come along and raise any issues with us, the next one for your area is on Wednesday, 10th March 2010. It starts at 2pm and finishes at 4pm, and will take place at: The Resource Centre, Seaman Avenue, Saxmundham.

If you can't make the meeting and would like to get in touch about something which concerns you - please contact us
