Welcome to the Suffolk Safeguarding Children Board’s
website
This site provides information for everyone in Suffolk who is
concerned about safeguarding children and meeting their needs. That
particularly includes children, parents, and everyone in Suffolk
whose work brings them into contact with children and families. All
of the information on this website is available to everyone.
About our website
The website was launched in November
2006. It is still being developed, but soon it will provide
up-to-date information about what the Safeguarding Board and its
members are doing, and keep everyone up to date with the latest
news and developments about working with children and families.
Suffolk SCB has completely revised
all of its safeguarding procedures and practice guidance. These can
be found by clicking on guidance and procedures in the Index
on this page.
The Safeguarding Board’s guidance
and procedures have been revised to ensure that they are completely
compatible with the guidance provided by the Government in Working
Together to Safeguard Children (2006). This guidance must be
followed by all professionals in Suffolk. Everyone – including
children and families – is entitled to expect that professionals
will work in accordance with it – from October 2006.
