Welcome to Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership's website

The Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership has agreed a vision for the future of our district where 'building on the best of the present, it should be a district where people want to live and to invest, to care for others and the environment'.

There are great foundations in place in our district as can be seen by the fact that 94 per cent of our residents say they are satisfied with Suffolk Coastal as a place to live, making it one of the top rated places to live in the country.

However, we cannot be complacent if we are to maintain and enhance the quality of life in our district and the members of the Partnership recognise there are significant issues that need to be addressed. We are committed to working together to provide real improvements to the social, economic and environmental well-being of all our residents.

Within this website you can find out all about the goals of the Partnership, as set out in our Community Strategy, who are members of the Partnership , the 12 key issues (which are currently being reviewed) we believe face this district, and the activities of our working groups that are tackling the five key issues that we believe that in partnership we can and must produce results by working together. These are young people, community development, access to services, healthy lifestyles, economy/learning and skills.

We formally relaunched our website in November 2006 to coincide with our annual forum and to put the spotlight on the action and successes of our partnership. If after visiting this website you feel that you can help our activities, want to make comments about our work, or just want to find out more, then please either contact me , or the LSP co-ordinator.
