Suffolk Coastal Resource Network / Community Development Sub Group

Terms of Reference

The Community Development Sub Group of the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership will be a multi-agency group with the overall responsibility of delivering the Community Development elements of the LSP Community Strategy and associated Action Plan.

This will be achieved through collaborative working to:

  • Identify and agree priorities for action by the LSP
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of actions identified within the Community Strategy
  • Work with communities and local community based organisations to identify needs and highlight these to the LSP to develop future action plans
  • Link into the work of existing groups and activity within the district and identify which agencies are best placed to lead on projects within the action plan
  • Identify where more formalised partnership working may be of benefit
  • Liase and network with other projects, organisations and individuals to address community development needs and add value
  • Work with the One Voice Suffolk Consortium to monitor and evaluate the programme for change within Suffolk Coastal, by being the Coastal Local Infrastructure Partnership
  • Identify the resource implications of initiatives and seek ways to procure those resources that are sustainable
  • Identify and recommend priorities for funding through the LSP budgetary process
  • Link to the other sub-groups to ensure that a joined up approach is taken, thus allowing gaps to be identified and joint action taken to address them.

Accountability:

The Group will be accountable to the LSP Board
The Group will be accountable to One Voice Suffolk
The Group will circulate information to the other sub groups within the LSP as and when deemed necessary.
The Group will also report to partner organisations as specified / requested by those partners in relation to initiatives within the action plan

Other organisations to be invited as appropriate

Frequency of meetings:

Typically once every two months.
