SCC Procurement

Procurement is the vehicle through which Suffolk County Council spends the greatest portion of its controllable budget.

Through procurement the Council intends to:

· help Voluntary Sector organizations to bid successfully for Suffolk contracts

· improve service delivery and delivering great value for money

· reduce our carbon emissions, other pollutants and the amount of waste we produce

· provide services which support vulnerable people and are tailored to their needs

The provision of efficient services is a given, but procurement can be used, to a greater or lesser extent, to deliver sustainability, diversity, local sourcing and other policy objectives.

If you would like to know more about the Suffolk County Council Procurement Strategy and the regulations governing procurement go to:

SCC Single Gateway Funding

There are currently two bidding rounds each year.

http://www.suffolk.gov.uk/BusinessAndConsumer/RegenerationAndCommunityDevelopment
/Funding/SuffolkSingleGateway/ApplyingForFunding.htm

This is funding towards day-to-day running costs of your organisation or group that allows you to deliver your core purpose i.e. the reason your organisation or group was set up.
A ‘project’ involves developing a new service or initiative or to meet the start-up costs for a new service or event.
