More About Partnerships

THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The recent Youth Green Paper envisages a strong role for schools in partnership with the youth service and the private and voluntary sectors in offering access to a good menu of activities for young people, not all of which will be provided on the school site.

Youth work plays an important role in this agenda and youth workers can work together with schools to offer a range of activities. On issues of quality assurance, if offered in a school, the provider and commissioner of the work would both have responsibilities in terms of ensuring the quality of youth work was acceptable. In many cases this will involve the local authority, whose youth work activity already falls under Ofsted inspection arrangements.  If your organisation is planning to work in partnership with schools or another organisation, and you are unsure of quality assurance matters, then please contact us.
