Young Suffolk
President's Award
Every year one of our
member organisations
has the opportunity to
win our President’s trophy and £250! (with
£150 for the runners up). This award is given to a project or
venture that has shown real involvement of young people in
setting it up and running it. It could be a rock band, it
could be a community project, or a great idea you have
developed within your club. This year’s winner could be
you!
If you would like to apply:
You will need to send your name, organisation and contact details
to us by the end of September. You will also need
to provide the following details:-
· Please list the members of your team and their ages
· Please describe your activity/project or idea and
tell us what sort of planning went into this?
· How has this activity/project or idea helped or
benefitted your organisation?
· If you won this award, how would you spend the
money to develop your idea further
Your application needs to be supported by a referee, who must be
over 18. This should be someone who knows your organisation. They
will need to sign your application and provide their name and
contact details.
Roddy Macleod Award

Roddy Macleod
was an enthusiastic member of the Suffolk Association of Boys
Clubs, who sadly passed away in 1989 and this award is to
honour his memory. Every year a
fantastic statue by Mark
Coreth and £250 is awarded to a small but exceptional
children or young people’s group.
If you would like to apply:
You will need to send your name, organisation and contact details
to us by the end of September. You will also need
to provide the following :-
· Name of organisation being nominated
· Why do you think this small club
or organisation is exceptional and deserves to win this award?
(Maximum of 250 words)
Your application needs to be signed by the person nominating, along
with their contact details, and returned to us.
